(untitled)

My name is Mary O'Filihaun. I am telling you this story about my friend and I. It takes place in eighteen sixty-four (1864) in England. I lived on Charles Way. I loved my street. It bakced into the woods and ended at the moor. A moor is a huge feild with vines and heather growing in it. Its quite ugly in winter and dull weather. But let me get on with the story. My friend, Amanda, lives on Mayor Ct. A block away. Amanda and I loved gardens. We still do. Now, up here in heaven we have gardens to remember this Breathtaking experience. We were walking along the moor one sunny day. Amanda was in a happy mood. She was smiling and whirling around. Suddenly she said, "let's go to the Cathedril gardens." I looked happy as added "lets go into the Catherdil also. Its so creepy on Saturdays when no ones there." Amanda gave me a wink and a smile then said, "Great, come on." We ran as fast as we could across the moor, into the woods, out of the woods, down my street, and in my house. We were panting with exastion. Mom! I blurted out in confusion. "I mean, Father! Can Amanda and I go to The Catherdril gardens?" My father was in the den smoking a cigar, "yes, but only if your home by seven o'clock. he said. We giggle and left without answering.

An Indian Camp Site

About a year ago we were digging in our yard when mom's shovel got caught on a big rock. She reached down and pulled it out. It was'nt just a rock. it was an axehead carved out of a rock! It had belonged to an Indian! Yesterday an Arcioligest guy came to our house. he said burried under our house was an old Indian Camp site! And There naming it after us and putting it on the historical map! And the axe head was from 700 BC!

Spring

Spring is my favorite time or sesson of the year. Its not to hot and not to cold. Spring is a time for growth and new beginings. The birds come back from the south and lay eggs. Robins begin to hop around on the fresh new grass and in the tall, green trees. New lives come into our world. Baby animals like deers, birds, foxes, bunnies, ducks and many more come. Everything turns bright green and trees start to blossom. Flowers rise from their seeds in the ground. Easter arives on April thrid. I's time to wear lighter clothes. Spring showers in April are refreshing and the rain helps the garden grow. The gardens don't have to be flowers. They can be fruits and vegetables. Vegetable gardens give good food for salads. The sun is here. It's time for a family fun! Later in spring the cherry trees bloom and make sweet pies. The graps make wine and Jelly. Spring is a Lovely, beutiful time.

And Christy Tate.

Christy got herself ready. She was wearing a satin matalic blue skating outfit with pink and light blue sequens and at the edge of the short, blue skirt. There were faux (fake) dimonds on her sholders, chest, and right above her skirt. She put a sweter on and got into her car. Mrs. Tate got in. Christy was to excited to drive so her mother did.

A young Sailors Diary

Dear Diary,

I was tiered from a day of walking. I was a fourteen year old girl who loved the sea ever since my uncle had took me on his small ferriboat. I was running away from home beacause my parents or anybody else would'nt let me be a sailor beacause I was a girl. Heavey bags were slug over my shoulders as I walked through the dusty mist on a hot summer Saturday. I was going to be a stoy away on the next ship that set sail. I had packed in my bags dozens of cans of beens and Jerky, a plate with, old utencils, a cup, two cans of jucie, milk, and a pack of napkins. I also brought things like vitamins, skin lotin, a hairbrush and a toothbrush with toothpowder.

[clothes]

I wanted to remember my family so I took some picktures and a painting of my mother. I was hoping that I would not get caught but if I did I might be needed as a sailor so I brought along a blanket and a pillow. Oh, and the most important thing I brought was a diary. I finnally jumped on to the boat. I hid quickly in a diny boat that was on deck for repairs. I heard the captin talking about how old the diny was. It was hot under the Burlap Cloth that covered the diny. The Ship set sail. A month later, the men were repairing the dingy and they found me. I tried to explain to the captin but he just said that woemen on a ship were a nucince, a jinx, and just bad luck. I pleaded for him not to take me home untill he finnally gave up. He tried me out as a sailor. I knew everthig about sailing. I also knew that someday any women could sail as she pleased. And it happened.

Socks: Things I liked

I like the aother of the book Beverly Cleary. The book is about a cat who has alot of action. Written by the cat's point of view make's the story funny. The Illustrations are very bad but they express the storty. This story is very funny and very originall. I will sugest this story to anybody.
